How I did it

my JOURNEY

2016

The year I did this

It all started in 2016 when I took my first press trip. That’s when I realized how much I loved combining travel with storytelling. I found a way to explore new places and share their stories, all while connecting with the people who make those places special.

Since then, I’ve traveled to destinations like Greece, Zambia, Paris, England, France, and the Bahamas. Along the way, my passion for philanthropy has grown, and I’ve focused on giving back by getting to know the locals and learning how I can positively impact the communities I visit.

These experiences have shaped my journey as a travel content creator, and I continue to capture the moments and stories that inspire me while building meaningful connections with the people I meet.

2018

The year I did this

I completed an 18-month fundraising campaign and trekked to Mt. Everest Base Camp, raising over $25,000 for Cancer for College. The campaign, featured on Forbes.com, was social media-driven and helped raise awareness for the cause.

This led to a partnership with Salesforce.org as a Changemaker Correspondent. Working with Georgetown University, a Salesforce.org client, I created content about how colleges are adapting to student needs and preparing future changemakers. My work, including blogs, articles, and social media posts, was shared across multiple platforms.

Additionally, this opportunity led to me speaking at Dreamforce, sharing my insights on using storytelling for social impact.

2024

The year I did this

I released the third season of Voices of Inspiration, my heartfelt travel podcast. Each episode brings together inspiring individuals from around the world to share their personal journeys, cultural insights, and achievements, offering listeners a deep connection to various destinations and communities.

I’ve also been working on my book, 100 Things to Do in South Carolina Before You Die, set to release in 2025. This project reflects my passion for uncovering and sharing the unique experiences that make South Carolina a place worth exploring.
