Amelia has been a remarkable advocate for our charity and taken fundraising to new heights. After years of being an active part of our organization's fundraising events based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, she pitched us on a much bigger idea. In 2017, she approached us with using a climb to Mt. Everest Base Camp as the rallying point for awareness and fundraising. Amelia worked with our organization to to share our story and leveraged her social network to raise money as she built up to the trip. Finally, in late 2018, she and her husband Tim reached their goal of making it to Everest Basecamp and raised over $20K for Cancer for College's cancer survivor's scholarship fund in the process. In all my years in the non-profit world, I've never had a volunteer make a greater physical commitment to the cause. Amelia truly did take her charitable support of Cancer for College to the next level.
